5 Critical Tips to Keep Up Your Weight Loss Motivation

Weight loss motivation is one of the most important parts of losing weight. However, keeping your motivation can be very difficult. The following are five important tips to stay motivated to lose weight. These aren't dieting secrets; they are just good sense.
• Stick to small goals-1 or 2 pounds a week instead of far flung goals. That way you get the sense of accomplishment fast and it's easier to keep.
• Motivate yourself to cook more healthily through cooking classes and comparing how much money you save buying groceries instead of eating out!
• Ignore the fast weight loss schemes in favor of steady progress. There is no way to lose twenty pounds in two weeks and keep it off; this is just speed dieting and you'll get it back and then some later. The best motivation to lose weight is by seeing steady progress, not progress that jumps around.
• Stay positive; don't think of a diet as something restrictive, but instead as a chance to try new foods and moderate old habits. For example, you don't have to cut out treats entirely, just bring junk food back to the realm of treats and rewards. This way, you won't got into your diet feeling as though you are going to be suffering through the whole thing-it's more of an adventure and a positive experience.
• Listen to other weight loss stories and copy their good examples while learning from their mistakes. We're all human and knowing that other success stories are riddled with mistakes will make you feel better about your own journey.
Your mindset is half the battle of weight loss motivation. However, staying positive, having a range of small healthy goals instead of one far flung goal and staying true to your course is the best way to stay motivated to lose weight and stay positive throughout.
